Job summary

Avenue Z is seeking a Junior Associate to join our Public Relations team in Miami, offering hands-on experience in campaigns for a diverse range of clients. This entry-level role focuses on communications strategy and execution under guidance from senior professionals.

With 0-2 years of experience, you’ll draft press materials, support media relations, and help coordinate campaigns while building foundational PR skills in a dynamic, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, internship or agency experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Interest in media and technology industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and execution of communication strategies for clients across media, technology, and other industries.
• Support account teams in managing client relationships, including preparing meeting notes and follow-ups.
• Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, and other written materials.
• Assist in the development of compelling story angles and client narratives.
• Conduct research to support client campaigns, including audience insights and competitor analyses.
• Build foundational skills in media relations, including compiling media lists and identifying press opportunities.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends, preparing summary reports for internal teams and clients.
• Coordinate day-to-day PR campaign activities, ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
• Collaborate with team members to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and address project needs.
• Work closely with senior team members to gain exposure to PR and strategic communications.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, trainings, and team meetings.
