Job summary

Cruise Planners in Coral Springs, FL is seeking a highly creative public relations intern to support our corporate communications team. The internship focuses on copy and content creation for events and media relations, engaging in social media activities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of AP Style, and a passion for travel. Compensation includes generous Paid Time Off and health benefits. Availability is required from late June through December.

Qualifications

• Writing samples and portfolio will be reviewed.
• Ability to commute to the Coral Springs, FL office daily.
• Availability: 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., 3 to 5 days a week.

The role focuses on copy and content creation for our largest event, Convention, and on supporting media relations and social media activities.

Responsibilities

• Build media lists using Cision and research editorial calendar opportunities for pitching.
• Draft press releases, announcements, bylines, editorial and advertorial copy, news pitches and articles.
• Maintain a social media content calendar and post regularly across channels.
• Write weekly blog posts and keep blogs up to date.
• Copy edit press materials.
• Research news outlets and journalists.
• Engage on social media channels and participate in monthly travel chats.
• Track and measure the success of PR campaigns.
