Job summary

Athene is seeking a Public Relations intern to gain hands-on experience in corporate communications and stakeholder engagement. You will support media relations, corporate marketing, corporate responsibility, and government relations on real-world projects.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, present strategic recommendations to leadership, and develop professional networks while contributing to Athene's reputation in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Identify earned media opportunities (proactive and reactive) and learn best practices for engaging with media outlets.
• Research and identify newsworthy content for distribution to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate on strategies to amplify Athene's corporate voice across channels.
• Partner with Marketing, Internal Communications and Government Relations to ensure consistent messaging.
• Conduct media monitoring and analytics, reporting on coverage and trends.
• Support alignment of the engagement calendar with key external organizations and events.
• Contribute to strategic audits of communications practices and suggest improvements.
• Deliver a 10-week strategic project and present findings to leadership.
