Florida 4-H invites applications for a part-time Public Relations FWS Student Assistant to help update the website, craft social media content, and design promotional materials using Canva. You will contribute to blogs, news releases, and captions, while supporting campaigns and projects across channels.

The role requires current FWS award, UF student status, strong communication skills, and an interest in PR/communications.

Qualifications

Must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award.
Currently enrolled as a University of Florida student and eligible for Federal Work-Study.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Interest in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, graphic design, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Assist with updating and maintaining the Florida 4-H website to ensure content is current, accurate, and engaging.
Create and edit social media content, including short-form videos and reels.
Design promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, graphics, and digital materials using Canva.
Assist with writing and editing blogs, news releases, social media captions, and other communications materials.
Support Florida 4-H marketing and public relations campaigns and special projects.
Help maintain consistent Florida 4-H branding across digital and print materials.
Assist with gathering photos, stories, and content from Florida 4-H programs and events.
Support other communications and public relations projects as needed.
