Job summary

Disney Experiences (DX) is seeking a Public Relations Associate to support strategic communications initiatives that generate earned media for Disney theme parks, experiences and consumer products. Based in Glendale, CA, this casual temporary hourly role is part of a bi-coastal team that partners across DX and The Walt Disney Company to elevate stories and identify opportunities.

• Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and research skills with excellent grammar and AP style.
• Organizational and project-management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Curiosity about changes in media and audience behavior; eager to identify trends.
• Collaborative approach with internal and external partners.
• Creative, forward-looking mindset; willingness to contribute new ideas.
• A personal vehicle is recommended for travel between Glendale and Anaheim.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit press materials, briefing documents, event communications and other written content.
• Assist with media engagement for visits, interviews, press events and activations, including on-site hosting.
• Monitor media coverage to identify trends, opportunities and emerging voices.
• Maintain and contribute to media lists, communications calendars and team resources.
• Compile coverage results, insights and key learnings for reports and campaigns.
• Write and edit blogs and other communications based on business needs, coordinating reviews with partners.
• Collaborate with partners across Disney Experiences and The Walt Disney Company to support priorities.
• Work approximately 24 hours per week, with in-office schedule four days per week; flexible evenings and weekends; local travel may be required.
