Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design seeks a Public Programs Coordinator to join the Department of Communications. The role supports planning, organization, and assessment of public programs, serving as the main on-site staff for events and coordinating logistical details, travel, catering, and communications.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience organizing or running events.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Mac platforms.
• Advanced word processing and spreadsheet knowledge; familiarity with web editing software.
• Comfort with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (and/or Keynote)

Responsibilities

• Acts as primary on-site event staffer, ensuring events start on time and guests are cared for.
• Provides administrative and logistical support for the public programs series, including invitations, itineraries, and materials.
• Tracks lecture expenses and participates in budgeting processes.
