Job summary

San Antonio River Authority seeks a Public Information and Government Affairs professional to represent the agency to elected officials and residents across Wilson, Karnes, and Goliad counties. You will manage intergovernmental and public information projects, develop materials, and staff meetings and events.

The role requires strong oral and written communication, policy knowledge, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders while advancing the Authority's mission and safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy or Communications; plus 2 years in intergovernmental or government affairs.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Experience communicating with elected officials and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop intergovernmental and public information projects from inception to completion, meeting deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Establish relationships with elected officials and staff to convey projects, vision and mission.
  • Staff intergovernmental and community meetings and events including legislative hearings and public meetings.
  • Manage stakeholder processes for major River Authority projects, coordinating with stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Deliver Speakers Bureau presentations across the district.
