Job summary

The City of Huntsville is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Worker to upkeep city grounds, parks, and rights‑of‑way. The role involves operating a variety of small to medium equipment and performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs to keep facilities in top condition.

Ideal candidates will have some grounds maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license; a Class B CDL is desirable. This is a full‑time, on‑site position with benefits including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Some experience in grounds maintenance or construction work and some experience driving a truck or tractor, or mower.

Responsibilities

• Maintain City grounds, parking facilities, parks, alleys, easements, and highways.
• Operate small to medium equipment, trucks, and farm tractors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
