Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Public Information Specialist I to support the ATMP Roadways and Enabling Projects. You will assist in implementing stakeholder engagement plans, manage inquiries, prepare communications, and help coordinate public outreach events.

This onsite, full‑time role requires strong writing, organization, and collaboration with project teams. Responsibilities include developing presentations, updating websites and CMS, and maintaining engagement databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Public Administration, Planning, Political Science, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience required.
• Certifications in communications, public engagement, marketing, or project management are desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Familiarity with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite; CMS like Drupal; email marketing platforms such as Benchmark.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing stakeholder engagement and communications plans for ATMP Roadways and Enabling Projects.
• Track and address public inquiries, comments, and requests for information.
• Prepare and distribute traffic advisories, notices, and project updates.
• Maintain stakeholder databases and distribution lists.
• Draft routine correspondence and outreach materials.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets, FAQs, and informational materials.
• Coordinate logistics for public outreach events and meetings.
• Support website updates, CMS content, and social media content creation.
