The City of Duluth is seeking a Library Manager to lead the Duluth Public Library system, overseeing three locations and a staff of over 50 FTE.

The Manager will coordinate with the Library Board, the Duluth Library Foundation, and community partners to drive long-range planning, policy development, and innovative services for residents.

Strong leadership, budgeting, and community engagement skills are essential to advance accessible, high-quality library service in Duluth.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Library Science completed.
• At least five years of library experience with supervisory/management responsibilities.
• Experience with strategic planning and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, supervise and evaluate library operations and services at the main and branch libraries.
• Establish short- and long-range goals and objectives within budgetary constraints.
• Develop and monitor division budget.
• Lead collaboration with City boards and community partners to develop services.
• Represent the library at professional, governmental, and community events and meetings.
