Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of energy experience in litigation, regulatory or transactional practice.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills for regulators and judges.
  • Ability to understand and present complex ideas clearly to regulators and courts.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients before FERC, state commissions, and courts in rate cases and proceedings.
  • Draft persuasively about case law, legislation and regulatory texts to advance client interests.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance including hydropower licensing, reliability standards, and antitrust issues.
  • Appear at meetings, settlement proceedings, hearings, and trials as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and changes to legislation.
