Job summary

Muller Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale heavy civil and public infrastructure projects from Reston, VA in a hybrid work setting. You will ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence while meeting contract and regulatory requirements.

You will lead planning, scheduling, and cost control activities, coordinate with owners and public agencies, and drive profitability through effective project management and client relations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, and logistics.
• Proficiency in cost control systems and construction management software.
• Deep understanding of public contracts, specifications, and compliance requirement(s).
• Experience working on public contracts (1-3 years).
• Experience with creating/managing schedules (1-3 years).
• Ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of multiple heavy civil construction projects including roadway, utilities, stormwater, grading, and site development.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation efforts.
• Monitor project performance and proactively address risks and challenges.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control processes.
• Ensure accurate billing
• Identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Interpret and manage contracts, plans, specifications, and public agency requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, municipalities, and public agencies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat work and future opportunities.
• Participate in progress meetings, presentations, and communication.
