The City of Olathe is seeking a detail-oriented Project Inspector to support public infrastructure and private development projects across the community. This full-time role reports to the Infrastructure Department and offers pathways for Inspector I, II, or III based on experience and certifications.

Responsibilities include conducting field inspections of sewers, waterlines, streets, and related improvements; monitoring work for code compliance; and maintaining inspection records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and interpreting engineering plans and specifications.
• OSHA/safety awareness and field testing familiarity.
• IMSA certifications preferred or obtainable within one year.

Responsabilités

• Conduct field inspections of public infrastructure and private development.
• Ensure compliance with approved plans, codes, and safety regulations.
• Maintain inspection records and testing documentation.
• Provide guidance to junior inspectors and coordinate with project teams.
