Job summary

AlphaGov is seeking an Infrastructure & Energy Research Specialist for project-based engagements with utilities, transit agencies, ports, state energy offices, municipalities, and related public or quasi-public clients. You will lead or support market-feasibility, demand, project-pipeline, workforce-needs, and resilience research tied to infrastructure and energy systems.

Qualifications

5+ years infrastructure, energy, utility, transit, or resilience research/analysis (consulting, agency, or research org).
At least two completed public or quasi-public sector studies you can cite (client/agency, your role, year).
Strong writing and ability to explain technical findings to non-engineers.
Willingness to be named on proposals when expertise aligns and permission is granted.

Responsibilities

Lead or support infrastructure/energy research studies (feasibility, demand, pipeline analysis, resilience, workforce implications).
Synthesize technical, economic, and policy sources into decision-ready reports.
Partner with economists, GIS analysts, and sector operators when scopes require multi-discipline teams.
Support AlphaGov proposals with accurate sector framing and named-expert narratives (when permissioned).
Flag when a solicitation requires PE/licensed professionals and help structure compliant teams.
Prefer subcontract/partner posture on mega-capital programs until AlphaGov has matching corporate past performance.
