Job summary

Ward Getz & Associates LLC (WGA) is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services team near The Woodlands, TX. The role focuses on public infrastructure projects with growth into site and land development work.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in construction inspection, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel within Central/Southeast Texas. You will inspect civil construction, prepare daily reports, and communicate progress with project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive experience in construction inspection, civil engineering, or a related field required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel in the Central and/or Southeast Texas region

Responsibilities

• Understand the general process of site, land and municipal projects including utilities, roadways, and water/wastewater facilities.
• Must have a general knowledge of civil construction including but not limited to soils, aggregate, concrete, reinforcing steel, asphalt, foundations, etc.
• Some vertical construction experience, including steel, wood, masonry, fireproofing, etc., as needed, inspected either directly or through WGA’s sub-consultants.
• Ability to manage, observe, and report on a construction project on a daily basis.
• Prepare daily reports documenting all work performed before leaving the site.
• Communicate and follow-up with oral and/or written reports regarding the progress of the project to the project engineer, project manager and/or Construction Services Manager.
