Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
• 3+ years of public relations/public outreach experience.
• Ability to convert complex data into accessible public content.
• Proficiency in AP style and proofreading.

Responsibilities

• Oversee messaging across official department social channels.
• Promote safety campaigns, meetings, construction updates, and traffic information in plain language.
• Coordinate press events and media inquiries; support crisis communications.
• Collaborate with Communications Director and district PIOs to align messaging.
• Develop and implement Public Outreach Plans for major projects.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly outreach reports and materials.
