Job summary

The Housing Authority of Cook County in Chicago seeks a hybrid Contact Center Associate to serve as the first point of contact for participants, applicants, landlords and the public. You will handle a high volume of omni-channel inquiries and support basic internal IT service desk intake and triage.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years in customer service, call center operations, public service, or help desk intake.
Basic understanding of IT environments (accounts, hardware, web applications) preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist participants, applicants, landlords, and the public with housing program inquiries.
Document interactions, call outcomes, and technical tickets in the appropriate system.
Route complex inquiries to the proper department or staff member.
Provide courteous, empathetic service to callers, including those facing housing instability.
Support IT service desk intake and triage as part of hybrid responsibilities.
