Job summary

The Ephraim Historical Foundation seeks a Historic Sites & Programs Manager to oversee educational initiatives, manage historic sites, and supervise volunteer systems in Ephraim. This full-time role focuses on developing public programs, staffing sites during the open season, and coordinating volunteers under the direction of the Executive Director.

• Master’s degree in museum studies or comparable experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of education and interpretation in the cultural sector.
• Excellent communication with diverse audiences and partners.
• Ability to budget and manage projects to schedule and budget.
• Experience coordinating volunteers and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and assess educational programs for all ages.
• Develop staffing plans for tours and historic sites with Executive Director.
• Ensure programs at EHF properties and off-site locations are staffed.
• Serve as point of contact for program inquiries.
• Oversee maintenance and cleaning schedules of historic sites.
• Supervise museum gift shop operations, staffing, and inventory control.
• Manage volunteer program and grant writing as needed.
