Job summary

DLH Corp. is seeking a Public Health Technical Writer to support CDC/HIV prevention programs in a hybrid Atlanta-based role.

You will craft technical, scientific, and consumer HIV content for web pages, SOPs, and reports, ensuring plain language principles and 508 compliance. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in English or related field, 3+ years of technical/scientific writing, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience with technical writing and/or scientific writing.
• Strong expertise in developing web/intranet content, public-facing fact sheets, and technical training materials utilizing federal Plain Language guidelines.
• Proven ability to navigate rigorous scientific clearance processes and ensure Section 508 compliance.
• Must communicate clearly and meet deadlines; work well independently and in a team.
• Must obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Write technical, scientific, and consumer-focused HIV content for web pages and other digital channels.
• Prepare Dear Colleague Letters, SOPs, technical documents, reports, and internal communications.
• Copy/edit scientific and consumer HIV products for accuracy and clarity.
• Communicate with Division staff to determine needs and translate into deliverables.
• Manage writing/editing projects through all phases from concept to production.
