Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Portfolio Manager/Epidemiologist to support biosurveillance activities for respiratory pathogens across partner laboratories under GEIS. The role emphasizes epidemiology, data analysis, and liaison work with the Science Advisor and Senior Molecular Epidemiologist.

The position involves coordinating the Next-Generation Sequencing User group, updating the Laboratory Capability Survey, and ensuring quality performance across DoW-funded partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating programmatic and data reporting activities.
• Experience supporting federal clients and laboratory surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Provide portfolio management support for proposals, budgets, and milestones.
• Coordinate laboratory surveillance activities and partners across networks.
• Manage Laboratory Capability Database updates and data submissions.
• Support development and execution of surveillance-focused focus areas.
• Communicate with partner organizations domestically and internationally.
• Serve as epidemiology subject matter expert for respiratory pathogens.
