Qualifications

Master's degree in molecular biology, medical genetics, microbiology, immunology, analytical chemistry, or related field with 2 years clinical lab or research experience.
Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, medical genetics, microbiology, immunology, analytical chemistry, or related field with 4 years clinical lab or research experience.

Responsibilities

Focus on new and updated methods for pathogens associated with hurricanes.
Support the Lead Public Health Scientist and help oversee project timelines and validation/verification.
Aid in implementation of novel modern assays and workflows.
Aid in integration of instrument platforms focused on scalability across the laboratory.
Aid in training of existing staff on novel methods and workflows.
Participate in surge testing if the need arises.
