Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health in Augusta, GA seeks a Public Health Nurse (RN) to provide maternal/child health services within Richmond County. The role emphasizes vaccines, female/male patient care, and adherence to DPH protocols.

It requires a BSN, CPR/BLS, and at least two years of clinical experience, with EMR proficiency. This on-site position supports emergency readiness and community health initiatives, with eligibility for CHEA/DOE credential recognition.

Qualifications

Must possess BSN from accredited University of Nursing.
CPR/BLS certification required.
Worked in clinical setting for at least 2 years.
Ability to work within an EMR system.

Responsibilities

Work with peers to provide services to women, children and infants within DPH protocols.
Administer vaccines per schedules and catch-up schedules.
Provide services to female and male patients, including STD testing, lab draws, breast exams, pap smears and related procedures.
Complete inventories and medication counts at end of shifts.
Collaborate to provide holistic care.
