State of Georgia is seeking a PH Registered Nurse 3 to join the Public Health team. Under broad supervision, you will perform advanced nursing functions in HIV care clinics, including triage, patient assessments and referrals, with a focus on community health and prevention programs.

Eligible candidates hold an RN license in Georgia and PHN training, with experience in HIV care and EHR systems. The role involves direct patient care and occasional outreach across Georgia's public health

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing and one year of nursing experience plus PHN course within one year of hire and a Georgia RN license with CPR certification.
• Alternative: two years of experience at PH Registered Nurse 2 (HCP191) or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Professional nursing care per established nurse protocols.
• Provide triage services to patients seeking HIV medical care in a clinic setting.
• Perform patient assessments, provide treatment, education and necessary referrals.
• Provide medical case management services to a defined caseload of patients.
• Create or participate in community outreach initiatives such as immunization clinics and health fairs.
• Draw blood for lab tests.
• Participate in screening, identification and treatment of sexually transmitted disease in walk-in patients.
• Administer vaccines, flu shots and other injectable medications.
