Job summary

The State of Georgia’s Department of Public Health seeks a PH Registered Nurse 1 to join the Lowndes County Health Department in Valdosta as a Float Nurse. You’ll provide professional nursing care, travel to multiple district locations, and support staffing needs while upholding nursing protocols and safety standards.

Requirements include an Associate degree in nursing, PHN course within a year, Georgia RN license, and CPR certification. Public Health RN protocols and a BSN are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing and PHN course within 1 year of hire.
• Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care under general supervision following protocols and policies.
• Serve as a Float Nurse with primary duty location at Lowndes County Health Department (Valdosta) and travel to other South Health District locations as needed.
