The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a PH Registered Nurse 1 (Float Nurse) to provide high-quality nursing care across multiple health department locations. The role requires travel to support Lowndes County and other South Health District sites as needed, under general supervision.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate degree in nursing, a current Georgia RN license, and CPR certification, with PHN coursework completed within one year of hire. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing; PHN course within one year of hire.
• Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care under general supervision according to established protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as a Float Nurse with a primary duty location in Valdosta, GA, and travel to support other South Health District locations as needed.
