Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced Public Health Practitioner to lead and evaluate public health programmes, focusing on healthy place, research, and evaluation within the Public Health service.

The role reports to a Public Health Principal and involves collaboration across partners, managing portfolios, and contributing to the Public Health Strategic Plan and Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

Formación

• A degree in a relevant health or science discipline (Master’s in Public Health or related subject).
• Strong knowledge of public health theory and epidemiology.
• Experience in developing, delivering, and evaluating public health programmes.
• Experience in producing systematic evidence reviews.
• Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
• A proactive, analytical, and inclusive approach to problem-solving.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver a high quality and effective range of public health programmes according to the portfolio, leading development, project management and delivery of core work areas.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of public health programmes and interventions.
• Critically analyse evidence, service and population data to identify priorities and needs.
• Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and delivery plans.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partners to enable multi-agency collaboration and impact.
• Manage commissioning and budgets for programmes with robust governance.
• Review and appraise evidence, analyse data, and prepare briefing papers for decision-making.
• Collaborate with public health academic partners on research opportunities and grant applications.
