Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science.
• At least four years' experience providing human services, such as intake/referral, counseling or educating, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Related education beyond a bachelor's degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to two years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises a public health program associated with investigation, prevention, detection, and control of communicable diseases.
• Supervises professional staff and coordinates unit activities with other programs and health care entities.
• Assists in hiring, onboarding, training, and program policy implementation.
• Performs epidemiological investigations, data collection and analysis, and evaluates program effectiveness.
• Provides outbreak consultation to community agencies and ensures reporting requirements are met.
