Baltimore County is seeking a qualified administrator to coordinate a public health program focused on investigation, prevention, detection, and control of communicable diseases. The role provides administrative supervision to public health staff and oversees outbreak work.
Responsibilities include supervising a unit, developing policies, coordinating with other programs and health care entities, and training staff.
Regular Schedule 35 Hours. Pay Schedule XII, Grade 1M

Under direction, coordinates and supervises a public health program associated with the investigation, prevention, detection, and control of communicable diseases. Provides administrative supervision to public health staff.
Performs other related duties as required.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science.

at least four years' experience providing human services, such as intake/referral, counseling or educating, which includes one year in a supervisory capacity. (Related education beyond a bachelor's degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years for the required non-supervisory experience.
(Additional experience in providing human services may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years for the required education. Experience in the supervision and management of a human services program may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years for the required education.)

Applicants will be qualified based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as stated on their application, which includes answers to the supplemental questions. Applicants must state the dates and duties of past and present experience clearly and completely for evaluation purposes.
Some positions may require satisfactory completion of County sponsored CPR and First Aid training. These positions must maintain certification throughout employment.
These positions are essentially sedentary with some walking, standing, or other restricted physical activities. Some positions may require traveling between work sites.
