As a Public Health Program Manager, you will manage various activities associated with applying for and implementing the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) Cooperative Agreement, and any other healthcare preparedness or response supplemental or new grants awarded. Additional functions entail monitoring the dailymanagement of the HPP funds and deliverables through the federal Cooperative Agreement to justify current funding requests and plan for future funding requests.

Excellent networking skills are employed to collaborate with Healthcare Coalition (HCC) support vendors to ensure performance requirements, contract deliverables, and other requirements are met. This professional is also responsible for evaluating and making recommendations for policy development, implementation, and procedures related to healthcare system preparedness.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Public Health Program Administrator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • A bachelor's degree and three years of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or
  • A bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience;or
  • An associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and five years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or
  • Seven years of professional experience in development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment , environmental health or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or
  • A master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care administration, health education, public health administration, public administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, business administration, or education and two years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience.
