The State of Vermont Department of Health’s Burlington District Office is hiring a Public Health Nutritionist II to provide nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, and WIC education to pregnant and postpartum individuals, infants, and young children, with a focus on equity and culturally responsive care.

You will work with diverse families, collaborate with healthcare partners, and participate in outreach and program evaluation.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in nutrition, nutritional sciences, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, or public health nutrition.
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, nutritional sciences, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, or public health nutrition AND two (2) years or more of experience in public health nutrition or community health nutrition.

Aufgaben

• Provide participant-centered nutrition assessment, counseling, and breastfeeding support.
• Develop individualized care and follow-up plans for nutritionally high-risk participants.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and maternal-child health partners.
• Participate in community outreach and health education efforts.
• Contribute to outcomes-based planning and evaluation through WIC's Nutrition Services Plan.
• Support quality improvement efforts to strengthen WIC services for Vermont families.
