Job summary

DeKalb Public Health is inviting applications for a Public Health Nurse Supervisor. The role provides professional nursing services, supervision, and program coordination within Clinical Services to protect and improve community health.

The position emphasizes leadership in population health, collaboration with partners, and the ability to respond to public health emergencies while mentoring staff and ensuring policy adherence. Based in North Health Center in DeKalb County, GA.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia RN license.
CPR certification is required.
Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating public health programs.

Responsibilities

Provide professional public health nursing services per nurse protocols and standards of practice.
Supervise, guide, and evaluate assigned nursing and support staff.
Develop care plans for individuals, families, and populations and adjust as needed.
Coordinate services and refer to healthcare providers and community resources.
Lead in population health initiatives and ensure equitable access to care.
Participate in emergency preparedness and public health response activities.
