DEKALB PUBLIC HEALTH is hiring a Public Health Nurse 2 to provide professional nursing care under general supervision, with a focus on preventing illness and promoting population health. The role includes treating patients, developing care plans, and partnering with community services.

Qualified candidates hold a Georgia RN license with CPR certification; an associate degree with PHN coursework may be considered with experience.

Formación

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and a current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) and CPR certification.
Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and a current Georgia RPN license and CPR certification.

Responsabilidades

Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and procedures.
Focuses on prevention of illness, injury, or disability and maintenance of health of populations.
Provides clinical services to the target population and develops comprehensive plans of care for individuals, families, and populations.
Identifies high risk populations and tailors interventions accordingly.
Screens and refers clients to other community service providers.
Participates in drills and exercises on public health emergencies.
