Florida Department of Health in Hernando County seeks a Registered Nurse Specialist to deliver high-level care and nursing services in Brooksville and Spring Hill clinics. You will perform assessments, administer vaccines, and provide counseling, education and referral services to diverse patient populations under protocol.

Formación

• Active Florida Registered Nursing license.
• Experience in immunization clinics preferred.
• Experience in a medical office/clinic setting preferred.
• Experience in HIV counseling preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Takes and records preliminary medical history and vital signs; administers medications under protocol.
• Provides nursing assessments and may diagnose and treat per protocol.
• Administers vaccines to children and adults per protocol.
• Assists physicians with procedures per county health department procedures.
• Provides HIV counseling and preventive health education.
• Teaches healthy lifestyles and family planning methods to clients.
• Gives education on preventive measures and lab results; provides referrals for continuity of care.
