King County Public Health Department seeks Public Health Nurses to join the Nurse-Family Partnership team at the Downtown Public Health Clinic in Seattle. Nurses provide home or community visits from pregnancy through the child’s second birthday, supporting 25 families per PHN and engaging in weekly supervision and team meetings.

Requirements include a WA RN license (or multi-state license), a nursing degree (BSN or higher), current BLS CPR, a WA driver’s license, and successful credentialing.

Qualifikationen

• WA RN license or multi-state licensure.
• Current BLS-CPR for Health Care Providers required (CPR/AED HeartSaver not acceptable).
• WA driver's license.
• Pass background and credentialing.

Aufgaben

• Obtain and document health history and make nursing diagnoses.
• Document electronically in EPIC and NFP database.
• Provide expertise on public health nursing scope and policy.
• Link/referral to other staff and providers to assure access and continuity of care.
• Plan program activities and monitor local work plans toward goals.
• Engage in quality assurance per laws and policies.
• Provide training and education to staff, clients, students, and community.
• Offer birth control and pregnancy options counseling.
• Other duties as assigned.
