Job summary

Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is seeking a Medical Countermeasure Coordinator to oversee the SNS, CHEMPACK, and Cities Readiness Initiative programs. You will coordinate statewide countermeasure planning, participate in regional stockpiling meetings, and educate partners across the state on CHEMPACK operations.

The role involves collaboration with PHEP staff and response partners to strengthen readiness and may lead logistics during public health emergencies,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, coordination of people, engaging stakeholder, and quality improvement.
• Knowledge of the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
• Knowledge in disaster planning and Incident Command System (ICS) principles.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including public speaking.
• Ability to facilitate groups and lead teams toward organizational goals.
• Ability to research and develop training and material and program content.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and provide solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, emergency management, public administration, homeland security, or related field
• Two years of job-related experience in health data systems or health education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Montana’s SNS, CHEMPACK, and CRI programs and serve as the primary contact for CRI jurisdictions.
• Lead the development, management, and evaluation of related deliverables.
• Coordinate statewide medical countermeasure planning and readiness meetings.
• Provide education and training on CHEMPACK operations to partners across the state.
• Work with PHEP staff to strengthen medical countermeasure readiness and support emergency responses.
