Job summary

Candidates will gain hands-on experience in community health initiatives, program planning, and stakeholder engagement within a non-profit health organization.

Qualifications

• Seniors or grad students pursuing public health, community health, advocacy or related degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and implementing community-based and culturally responsive health initiatives and programs.
• Support work around priority issues including hypertension control, nutrition security, community response, and tobacco/vaping.
• Assist with program planning, implementation, tracking, and evaluation.
• Support trainings, workshops, meetings, health fairs, and community events.
• Engage community organizations and healthcare partners aligned with priority initiatives and explore collaboration opportunities.
• Assist Community Impact team in communicating the impact of local work.
• Identify impact stories and develop communication pieces for online and offline audiences.
• Maintain volunteer databases and communications; serve as a point of contact for volunteer engagement opportunities.
• Develop volunteer communications, including newsletters and updates.
