Job summary

Ashtabula County Health Department is seeking a Registered Environmental Health Specialist to conduct inspections and educate local officials and the public on environmental health issues. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and REHS eligibility in Ohio, plus a valid driver’s license and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; REHS eligible per Ohio Department of Health
• Registered as a REHS with the Ohio Department of Health; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Criminal background clear; able to work irregular hours and non-traditional schedules
• Strong English communication; ability to read complex technical instructions and present information
