Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso – Paul L. Foster School of Medicine is hiring an open-rank faculty member in public health and health systems science.

The role focuses on developing and delivering an integrated pre-clerkship curriculum and participating in teaching, assessment and scholarly activity. We encourage applicants with strong experience in curriculum development, active learning, and interprofessional collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/DO with MPH or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience teaching health systems science across curricular domains.
• Texas medical licensure or eligibility for physicians.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the pre-clerkship medical curriculum (years 1-2) focused on health systems science.
• Contribute to course administration and instruction for pre-clerkship phase.
• Collaborate to integrate basic science, clinical science and health systems science.
• Utilize case-based, large- and small-group, lectures, simulation, and team-based learning.
