Job summary

The City of Long Beach seeks a Public Health Fund Development Specialist to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive grant funding strategy for the Department of Health and Human Services. This at-will, full-time role reports to the Legislative and Partnerships Manager and is based at the Main Health Department in Long Beach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health required; experience substitutions by education on a year-for-year basis.
• Three (3) years full-time project management experience in public health programming and grant writing.
• Master’s degree may substitute for up to one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages Department-wide public health and human services grants and develops grant deliverables.
• Prepares grant applications, evaluations, and reports for department-wide grants.
• Establishes relationships with granting agencies and coordinates with Citywide Grants Collaborative Committee.
