Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County seeks an OPS Health Services Representative to conduct field audits, verify immunization compliance, and collect data using FL SHOTS and HMS systems. You will schedule visits, communicate with schools and daycares, and produce certificates of compliance for eligible facilities.

The role supports immunization services and may involve assisting in nurse/clerk teams during outreach events, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate record keeping.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of office procedures and practices and the ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to conduct health investigations.
• Ability to analyze data.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to compile, evaluate and analyze epidemiologic data.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities
• Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner.
• Ability to prepare health education material at appropriate reading levels;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act privacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field audits by reviewing forms (DH-680) in Miami-Dade County schools, private schools and daycares to verify compliance.
• Schedule audit visits and maintain communication with administrators to track records in FL SHOTS.
• Educate facility staff on compliance and provide site-level system training for access to FL SHOTS.
• Notify VFC team for discrepancies and issue notification letters to responsible parties.
• Prepare and distribute certificates of compliance to qualifying facilities.
