Job summary

Virginia Department of Health is seeking a Mid-Level Epidemiologist to support the outbreak and response surveillance team, focusing on VOSS and REDCap. You will provide consultation, training, data requests, and technical guidance on surveillance for outbreak responses.

The role conducts epidemiologic investigations, data analysis, and dissemination of findings, coordinating programs and ensuring conformance to policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of public health surveillance methods and disease outbreak investigations.
• Ability to conduct epidemiologic investigations and data analysis.
• Experience communicating with healthcare professionals and the public.

Responsibilities

• Support outbreak and response surveillance team focusing on VOSS and REDCap.
• Carry out epidemiologic investigations and analyses within assigned area or statewide program.
• Provide consultation and training to district staff and central office on surveillance methods.
