Job summary

The Florida Department of Health's Okaloosa County Health Department is seeking a Biological Scientist IV to support epidemiological investigations and data analysis related to death investigations and public health issues. In this role you will collect and analyze surveillance data, collaborate with community partners and other agencies, and produce reports to inform public health interventions.

Strong data analysis and communication skills are essential, with proficiency in Excel and data

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Biology, Social Sciences, or related health field.
Valid U.S. Driver's License.
Knowledge of surveillance protocols and epidemiological research principles.
Strong data analysis and biostatistical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
Intermediate Excel skills and experience with data tools such as Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, or ArcGIS preferred.
