Florida Department of Health is seeking a capable OPS Government Operations Consultant I to support the Public Health Reporting Section in the Division of Public Health Statistics and Performance Management. The role focuses on planning, writing, researching, and delivering FLHealthCHARTS.gov reports and related products.

You will provide technical support to public health programs, facilitate data collection, and update health dashboards, while coordinating indicators across divisions for

Qualifications

• Minimum - Public health experience, experience working as part of a team, and advanced skills in Microsoft (MS) Excel or similar program.
• Preferred - A master’s degree in public health from a college or university is preferred.
• The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, flexibility, innovation, and a desire to improve health care for Florida’s residents.

Responsibilities

• Public health reporting, including planning, writing, research and development, and implementation of FLHealthCHARTS.gov reports and products.
• Providing technical support to public health programs and providers.
• Communicating with public health programs to facilitate the collection of health outcome data.
• Routinely updating FLHealthCHARTS.gov to highlight state health priorities.
• Providing support for publications such as the State Health Assessment, the State Health Improvement Plan, and the Vital Statistics Annual Report.
• Coordinate the collection and monitoring of indicators across divisions and county health departments for performance management and outcome assessment.
• Provides presentations to educate audiences about the FLHealthCHARTS website, enabling participants to interpret information for their program or community.
