Responsibilities

• Perform soil and site evaluations to design residential on-site wastewater disposal systems.
• Inspect installation of individual wastewater disposal systems by licensed installers.
• Inspect sewage pump trucks and collect private water well samples for bacteriological testing.
• Investigate sewage complaints to ensure safety of groundwater, drinking water, and recreational waters.
• Support wastewater program operations, including the wastewater call center and nuisance complaints.
• Maintain proper documentation accurately and work independently in field settings across the Central Region (Rankin, Madison, and Hinds Counties).
