Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Public Health Educator 2 for the Department of Health to lead statewide vital event education, collaborating with medical auditors, hospitals, and community partners to improve reporting accuracy and timeliness.

You will deliver trainings, create materials, analyze trends, and support accreditation efforts, with telework options and occasional travel within Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering public health education to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze reporting trends and improve data accuracy.
• Experience creating trainings and learning materials.
• Knowledge of CDC/NCHS/NAPHSIS guidance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Education Delivery to medical auditors, taxonomy specialists, funeral directors, hospitals, and midwives.
• Community Engagement with local organizations to improve reporting compliance.
• Trend Evaluation of vital event reporting and strategies to reduce failed reporting.
• Training Development of presentations, workshops, and online programs.
• Material Creation of pamphlets, guides, infographics, checklists, and other tools.
• Administrative Support to the Director and QA initiatives; adopting CDC/NCHS/NAPHSIS guidance.
