State of Alaska's Department of Health seeks a Deputy Director of the Division of Public Health to help shape policy, regulate programs, plan strategically, and manage resources. The role supervises experts in Epidemiology, Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, and Public Health Nursing, and oversees major projects like health assessment, workforce development, and accreditation.

• Three years of professional experience in the broad occupational fields of the division or department.
• Two years of supervisory and/or managerial experience, which may be concurrent with the professional experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Director with policy formulation, regulations development, strategic planning, resource management, issue resolution, and program delivery.
• Supervise subject matter experts for Epidemiology, Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, and Public Health Nursing.
• Provide oversight for division-wide projects including the state health assessment/improvement plan, workforce development, and national public health accreditation.
