The Alaska Department of Health in Anchorage seeks a Deputy Director for the Division of Public Health to support policy, regulations, planning, and program execution. You will supervise subject matter experts across Epidemiology, Chronic Disease Prevention, and Public Health Nursing.

Formación

• Three years of professional experience in the broad occupational fields of the division or department.
• Two years of supervisory and/or managerial experience, which may be concurrent with the professional experience.
• Knowledge of public health concepts, strategic planning, and program management.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with policy formulation, regulations development, strategic planning, and resource management.
• Supervise subject matter experts for Epidemiology; Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion; and Public Health Nursing.
• Provide oversight for division-wide special projects, including the state health assessment/improvement plan, workforce development, and accreditation efforts.
