Job summary

Cochise County seeks an Administrative Manager (Diabetes Prevention & Education) in Bisbee to lead the planning, execution, and daily operations of diabetes prevention programs. The role entails supervising staff, coordinating grant requirements, and ensuring program quality and compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of progressive public health or program administration experience, with valid Arizona driver’s license and insurability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Social Services, Nursing (BSN), or related field; four years of progressively responsible experience in public health, healthcare, social services, community health, or program administration.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and be insurable by County.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day programmatic and operational oversight of diabetes prevention, education, screening, referral, and self-management services.
• Supervise program staff, including setting priorities, assigning work, monitoring performance, and supporting staff development.
• Coordinate grant requirements, program documentation, budget monitoring, purchasing, and other administrative activities.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, governmental agencies, and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, presentations, and other program documentation.
