Job summary

Wayne State University is seeking an intern to work with the Kent County Health Department on developing public-facing dashboards for overdose deaths and opioid settlement spending in Kent County. This role offers the opportunity to attend community partner meetings and assist with project management initiatives, providing valuable hands-on experience in public health.

Interns will enhance KCHD's ability to visualize and communicate overdose-related data. This position allows students to apply their education to real-world settings and understand the interdisciplinary nature of health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program.
• Computer proficiency is required.
• Experience with statistical analysis software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop public-facing dashboards for overdose deaths and opioid spending.
• Attend meetings with KCHD community partners.
• Assist with project management of opioid settlement initiatives.
