Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a data science professional in Charlotte, NC to lead quantitative analyses of CMS, claims, and clinical health data for federal public health insights. You will develop models to estimate chronic disease prevalence and incidence using real-world data, and build scalable pipelines and dashboards in R, Python, and SQL.

The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field and 2+ years of health data science experience, with strong SAS, geospatial analysis, and ML skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or STEM.
• 2+ years material experience in health data science and epidemiology with real-world data.
• Proficiency in R, Python, and SQL with large datasets.
• Experience with SAS and biostatistics; SAS to R conversions a plus.
• Geospatial analyses using QGIS/ArcGIS beneficial.
• Experience in statistical modeling, ML, and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative analysis and modeling of real-world data to generate actionable insights for federal public health.
• Estimate chronic disease prevalence and incidence using real-world data.
• Design, implement, and refine ML and statistical models for surveillance and research.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and dashboards using R, Python, SQL.
• Utilize DataBricks and Snowflake for scalable analytics.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, clinicians, and public health experts to inform policy.
• Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and publications for diverse audiences.
• Ensure data quality, documentation, and reproducibility across analytics workflows.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
